I enjoy watching our garden birds feeding from our very elaborate, squirrel proof, pigeon proof, rainproof bird feeder. We have gold finches, robins (watching mum feed her two youngsters is amazing), green finches, chaffinches, siskins, dunnocks, a woodpecker visits now and again, a sparrow hawk swoops in for lunch, waxwings, bramblings and to top it all for 3 months last winter we had a resident pheasant strutting his stuff underneath our feeders. I live in the city where there are urban foxes aplenty and the fact he survived for 3 months was amazing. I also have 2 cats one of which I have to watch very carefully when the birds are feeding.
