Small , smaller , smallest.

This peanut feeder hangs right by our kitchen window and attracts a variety of wildlife.

Wood mouse with its larger ears and longer tail

Bank vole grey with broader rounded nose

Smallest is Harvest mouse largely nocturnal the grape behind feeder gives some size comparison our smallest rodent and only one to have a prehensile tail.

Of course even the smallest birds look huge to them .

Well done catching these BB :)
I'm surprised that the bank vole ventures so high, I would have thought it would prefer to stay in the shadows on the ground.
What a treat to have them on your feeder :)

Many thanks both....
Surprised me too Aster as bank voles are usually quite secretive. Think as it gets colder they are looking to stock up now...lovely to see them..

Many thanks for kind comments Phil,Deida and David....
Deida...ours used to hang freely too and the nuts went mouldy. The birds seemed to find it hard to grip so we moved it to the wall outside the kitchen window. This way it does not move...except when the visitors shake it as they tug at the nuts inside ! Re fill it every 3 or 4 days now !!
