No partridge and no pear tree but.......

Seven long-tailed tits, six blue tits, five robins, four great tits, two blackbirds and a nuthatch on snowy day in December.

Those robins were taking it in turns to gain access to the food, and shouting about it to each other. At one point I could see five at the same time. I think they might have been siblings. Sadly I am seeing very little of any robin this summer. The blue-tit is referee-ing.

I’m also missing the long-tailed tits. Perhaps they’ll be back again in the autumn. I’m afraid I was never quick enough to get a picture of them, but I promise there were seven at one time!

Oh...memories of one of the harshest winters for a long tome. This was when our feathered friends needed us the most....and like yourself our garden was always full of them.
Lovely blog Ali....I hope your robins return.

Hello there! How lovely to have these pictures as they will always remind you of the time when you took it and saw so many birds amidst the snow. B/w pics are quite highly thought of. Keep your eyes open for more photo opportunities.
