"Chick Flicks"

By

Have been posting some bird pics from a wildlife centre we visited yesterday. This centre is part of a working farm, and one of the main attractions is the hatchery and days-old chicks. Here are some pics from this very interesting place………….

We come from a “broken home”

Visitors get to handle the chicks

Oo..err, it’s a long way down!”

Did somebody mention the dreaded word ”scramble”?

“We are not amused!”

Looking every inch a “proud father”

My apologies, but just wanted to keep these pics together, somewhere.

Apology? What ever for David? A lovely set of pics...and great that the children (and you) had a chance to handle and learn about the chickens. What a handsome cockerel in photo 7 ! A great day out !

Jane is right David, fabulous set of pics, I`m a big softie and love to visit places like that, luckily my grandchildren are still young enough to enjoy a visit at our local ones and holidays coming up in a couple of weeks so should get a few good days out.......

What a great blog David. I love the beautiful photos and the oh so appropriate words! Were there any little bantams there? They are so cute and the babies are like big bumblebees. Our great-grandchildren are now in line for trips to such places - yippee!

Thank You, all. I just thought this a bit mundane to post, at first. Of course, I, too, learned a lot about them and how to handle them, and we all had great fun.

Our schools broke up for summer last Friday, so well into the holiday mode! Asked about the various chicks, but got no answer re bantams, varieties, etc ("Well, they're just.....chickens!" was the best answer, lol!

OMG!!! Grandchildren - Great grandchildren, even!!! You all look and sound so great online!!! I'll be 50 next year and only have a 7- and 9-year-old!!! Loving every minute, of course, revisiting my own youth and fab upbringing, and keeping me very very "young at heart"!

Enjoy your trips to your local venues, Lincslass and Lynn!

:-D)
