I wanted to know more about birds for years but never seemed to get close enough to know what I was looking at. Now I see lots at my garden bird feeder, garden planted to be bird, and bee etc, friendly. Had longtail tits, redcap and bull finch I had not seen before. Identified flock of waxwings eating rose hips at my local railway station, sadly no camera at the time. Cattle egret on seal sands reserve at Tees mouth, to my amazement.

Galapagos was amazing, did botanical conservation first to justify leaving a footprint. Cheapest bottom of range camera is all I use.

Hi,

welcome - just snap away, blog and post. :0) This is such a friendly site the people are so encouraging and the help of any kind is unbelievable.

You`ll be amazed how you`ll tend and nurture your birds like a mother hen. You`ll soon be able to recognize them all individually.

Looking forward to seeing more of your pictures and blogs.

The little one with the eye is a Galapagos rock dove, eaten with relish by locals as are/were rock doves all over the world. Even so, I am proudest of the black guillemot, taken from the off ramp of the arran ferry
