At least the rook wouldn't choke on any bones!
I spend so much time chasing off Jackdaws. They will invade our bird feeders and they make such a mess. I think I shall put up a sign 'Jackdaws Keep out. They are murdering thieves.
PS Did I say I don't like Jackdaws?
I haven't seen many butterflies at all this year. Blamed it on the harsh weather

Agree with Aster here...we see most butterflies around the middle of this month and during August.Having said that we have had a couple of Red Admirals and a Tortoiseshell visit a few days ago.........

Only this past week have I noticed a few other than the cabbage white, lots of those about. I have read off another site that we are going to get the rare butterflies back because of the weather so hot, I m still waiting to see them as I found there were more last year about than this so far.
