You did well Donna - close ups are not easy - particularly like the yellow poppy shots

I love the second shot with the bees` proboscis out ready to get more pollen and the pollen on his hind legs. Just brilliant!

When I get as good as you lot I may have a go at this macro lark. :0)

Love No 2 the pollen laden Honey bee and the last 2 of the Marmalade hover flies, this was the one that started me on the macro trail.

Eja I did not realise that they are marmalade hoover flys. I just found them easyer to photo as they stayed still a few secounds longer than the rest of the insects I can see why you got hooked on Macro.Whatch this space LOL

Super shots, Donna. If any, Nos 2 and 5 my faves. Btw, Mike, not yellow poppy, but Nasturtium. :-) However, I did not know of the Marmalade Hover Fly, Eric. You learn so much here!

A great blog with excellent shots Donna. The bug has 'bitten' hasn't it - I really fancy a go myself and if the sun ever comes out again, I will be hunting my garden mini-beasts!
