No Birds.......

Hello All,
Spent a couple of hours at Middleton RSPB yesterday, and although I seen many birds, unfortunately they were too far away to get any decent pics!( soo sad!)
Instead,I got some close up practice, and these are the end results.
I have tried to identify some, but feel free to correct me lol.

BEE! lol

Cinabar caterpillar.

Damsel Fly.

Flowers again! lol (not good with flowers!)

I think,it is a female small white…

….and last but not least:Red Admiral.
A butterfly I have been trying to photograph for quite a few years!!

Hope you enjoyed these pics…….

Lovely set of close ups Rob and even though birds out of range the day clearly wasnt wasted .. regards the flowers what do the pods on the pink one remind you of ? The yellow one appears to be evening primrose.

Fabulous pictures. What does a cinabar turn into? I`m glad you got your Red Admiral but look at the eyes on the small white.

Hi Saucy, they turn into a beautiful shimmering grey/red moth.Very much like the Burnett Moth, but without the spots. You're right about the white, the eyes are amazing!
