Flying things (I did my own ID for that)

By

This is a mixture – again of non-birds but I do hope you enjoy them.
If any of you guys would like to “actually” ID one or two that would be nice.
These are all from my recent Isle of Wight trip.

The three pics above show a “thingy” sat on a spiders web eating a little black fly.

This next pic is of a small (minute) black fly walking over a pile of frogsporn to feed on the body of a damsel fly – there is another damsel there too.

These next three – I have no real idea but the last one emerged from beneath the water whilst I was there and therefore I suspect it is a “dragonfly”

my goodness...brilliant close ups but the first have put me off my tea...
the last ones are a dragonfly nymph ( I think)...they can live in the pond for a few years then climb up the stem to emerge into the dragonfly....great shots like this make me wish for a macro lens.....lol
