Thanks Jane! I was up until 4:15 this morning and I still can't see why it has gone so wrong! A double whammy and on top of it all I couldn't find the newspaper article. Jesse is our No3 Grandson and is 23 years of age. He is a professional photographer now and beside a huge variety of birds and wild life, flowers, landscapes, seascapes, he also takes Weddings, parties, mountain trips, people's pets, brochures for hotels etc., etc., He has had exhibitions locally and lectured to schoolchildren about Cully along with his beautiful videos and stills of her.

Oops Sorry....of course..your grandson. You must be so proud of him...wonderful that his career is also his passion. I know....we had trouble uploading at first....you can "save draft" before submitting until you are happy with the blog...if that helps at all...or contact Peter and Ajay via E Mail and they will help !

Think its wonderful that Jesse is able to give lectures about Cully to schoolchildren...teaching them to value Nature is one of the best things we can do for them....for the future.

You are very kind Jane, thanks. Jesse teaches the piano and is very musical. When they lived in Edmonton he and his elder brother, Matthew, played in the Youth Orchestra as well as entertaining people in retirement homes, in the shopping mall and for reunions/parties/weddings.......They both play the violin also and with the three girls in their family they play at our gatherings. Great fun!

What a wealth of talent your family has Lyn,and never a dull moment at your get togethers ! Notice you say in your profile that one of your daughters is nursing a baby starling with an injured leg.A friend of mine took in a starling which could not fly,and he "imprinted" on her. He became a family pet....and an excellent mimic. He made phone ringing noises...and even called out the family names. He loved chips and asked for them by name. Some people would baulk at this but that happy little bird lived to be 18 years old !

So good to read that the story of jesse and Cully was covered in the press, Lynn. Who knows, it could be made into a wonderful movie, like one of our favourites "Fly Away Home" (about Canada geese). Fantastic that he is doing so well as a photographer!!
