Meet with Phil and a KINGFISHER

Met up with Phil for a few hours at Westport Lake, it gave me a chance to try out a new lens too. Got a Kingfisher at last… see photos. The rain came down and it was dull, occasional burst of sun, but a nice few hours

Does this count as my Kingfisher – LOL

Look at the rain drops on the water

Liked the lighting on this, in rare sunshine

Fight !!!

Phil the lurker !!

Magestic landing

Flying High 1

Flying High 2

Well it was a good afternoon despite the rain, and I ‘half got’ a Kingfisher. LOL – Like the old saying “Nice day for ducks”

NOOOOOO that does not count - not even a half. Go away and try again .. not as though they are that hard to find :)

I love the photos. Am I right in thinking it`s a mute swan? I think the writing gave it away on the kingfisher but a beautiful shot of the rare greater blue backed bird watcher. :0)

Gr8 pics, Alan. I especially like the Teasels and the Gulls. Oh, and that very accomodating kingfisher, too, of course!
