Goosey Goosey Gander!!

I had a nice walk along the Maltings Riverside Ely today, where there are a large number of waterfowl everywhere, but being a novice I don’t know many of the names for them apart from the obvious! lol, I think the one’s with the red faces are Muscovy Ducks!, so any help in naming them is much appreciated :D

Looks like a nice walk - Now I am famous for not being able to ID anything - but I think the White one is an Aylesbury Duck.
The others will correct me.

I looked under A from the index for the duck you said and there's nothing there for that name lol, so I can't compare, it looks like a white headed duck as well. :)

I understand they are a domestic duck and called the Aylesbury but as I said - I am famous for being wrong.

I'd go for Aylesbury, or an Aylesbury cross, for the white duck, and the brown and white goose is a Greylag. Nice pics. :-)

Yes, its nice to put a name to them now, am I correct in thinking that all the other ducks with the red faces in pictures 3,4 and 9 are Muscovy ducks., and what is the white one with babies in picture 7, sorry for the ignorance but as I said I am a complete novice! lol :)

This just gets worser and worser!! I think that me, and at least one other member, may well be sporting muscovy-style "red faces" now! Don't fancy the thought of messing with you, Jane!!! Would probably "duck" out of that round!

Am just so glad that all your IDs have been answered, Lynne, at last!! Brill!! :-D)
