Not a great 'birding' day today.

Weather hasn’t been good for a couple of days and my long lens still hasn’t been fixed by SIGMA so I stayed at home today.

Set the camera up outside on a tripod with 300mm lens and wifi shutter release. Focused on the feeder, set aperture priority and manual centre spot focus and went indoors to see what happened.

After 2 1/2 hours I had failed to get a single bird feeding – possibly because this fella just wouldn’t stay away.

Thanks aster.

Just had an email from SIGMA - my lens is ready to collect. Shame I've got a 60 mile round trip to take the MG in for a minor tweak tomorrow. Quite looking forward to Thursday.
