we've seen an occasional thrush -- and heard him but no sign of a nest--- have only heard the cuckoo once as well

Similar story here in N.Yorkshire...Only have the odd song thrush...and our mistle thrushes from last year have disappeared. Live next door to a rookery...numbers steadily rising. Not heard a cuckoo either !

Similar to others there is a decline in the mistle thrush but we have seen and heard a pair of thrushes. No cuckoo as yet. Too many jackdaws though attacking nests and raiding the feeders.
