dippers for Nick

following Nick’s question(hope I was right in my answer) have found some photos of a dipper I photographed at Devils Water northumberland…..Not very good photos…..but I watched this little bird diving and swimming(well walking on the bottom of the river) looking for food…..brilliant little bird

At least you got some photos LW ..once when at work sat by a small beck for lunch a Dipper arrived and moments later 2 young emerged from the bank opposite waiting to be fed ..just feet away .

Hard to beat the beauty of a kingfisher but these little birds defy gravity with their underwater walking ..lovely.

Indeed LW ..just a few ounces and should be swept away as they walk upstream not large birds read they weigh up to 90g which only 3 oz ..still thats 15 goldcrests which shows how tiny a goldcrest is .. remarkable.
