Nice day for ducks??

On my way to work I walk along the canal for a short way, usually there are ducks and sometimes swans and I frequently think the ducks are laughing at me ~ with their funny cackling quack!

this one appears to be walking on water and laughing!

and then there were torville and dean, slip sliding away:

and after all that the swan was doing the hoki coki – you put your right leg out:

Sticki..they really struggle in this weather as they mainly eat insects.Think re hydrated mealworms are a poor second for them but helps them to survive. Its such a hard life. Last winter our pond was used as a skating rink by the starlings..now that would have made you laugh..:o)

Nice blog ST .. hopefully it will be temporary for them .I feel sorry for kingfishers when canals and lakes freeze really hits them hard.

You can re-direct your starlings here if you like..I m fond of them and suspect Clarice has a soft spot for them too ..
