Winter Visitors

Whilst having a chat to my daughter via the phone this morning and gazing out at the garden, a very grey damp dismal sight it was too, I was startled by a huge shadow appearing from over the rooftop, very low, the birds in the gardens went spare, my dogs were agitated as well as is their right, I yelled down the phone to daughter to get her to her windows quickly. It was a smashing sight!!!!!!!! about twenty Geese flying in their aeroplane formation .I really don`t know how they missed the treetops or even my roof actually, thats how low they were, it made my day. I`ve told hubby and my other daughter its time for a walk down to the meadows or up the park, probably both, lol, armed with our cameras. It means winter has arrived and our visitors with it…….

Lovely sight isnt it ..along with the noise envy Gill , Nick and others that live close to wildfowl sites. The swans that migrate here for winter are also great to see arriving.
