New Macro An Old Friend And His/Her Little Friend.

By

I have been clicking away to try my hit and miss creepy crawly macro moments.
So here are the best of the bunch so as to speak……

This was a moth, love the velvet eyes, that no idea what type but….

I think that this is some type of weevil, I thought I`d add this was taken outside not in my bread bin …

A butterfly :0) …..

This is tegenaria parietina an extremely large house spider a bit dozy but capable of giving a nasty bite. It was absolutely enormous its body was a good 2 inch. This was as close as I dare get to it in the tupperware and you should have seen me letting it go outside. Now that was funny. (Florin from the Nat. Hist. i.d. this).

Does anyone know what this furry fellow turns into? I took this in late September.

Moss on a wintery day

Hydrangea

The following is my friend Sammy who woke from slumber when I was cleaning and misting his/her condo.
I found his/her really little friend, who was less than a centimeter, curled up snoozing under a stone. I think this is a centipede no idea what species perhaps one of you may know. P.S. On asking Florin (14/01) she is a Snake Millipede, Proteroiulus fuscus (family Blaniulidae).
For those who do not know Sammy please read the blog Sammy The Dancing Snail dated 27 September 2011

Hope you enjoyed and will get some birdy shots on soon.

Smiles for all. :0) x

I was amazed by the moss close up as it really is the same moss as the previous shot.
