Welcome to I Spy a Bird

By

Hello,

Welcome. We started this website to give amateur and hobby bird watchers an easy to use, friendly place to share their photos (whatever the standard) and make like minded friends.

There are several excellent bird watching websites out there but they can sometimes be a bit daunting, especially if you’re just starting or don’t class yourself as a ‘twitcher’. I Spy aims to be easy to use and friendly, giving you a place to learn more and make bird watching and photography more enjoyable and less intimidating.

We welcome feedback and suggestions so please do get in touch via the contact us link at the bottom of the page and let us know what you think.

Cheers and Happy Bird Watching,

Ajay and Peter

Hello Ajay and Peter, Nice one, very user friendly site. Surprisingly little activity though. Is this deliberate (i.e. slow steady growth)?

Hi Woodlyme, Welcome.

We have only been up a month and half and are quite happy with how we are growing. The first bits of search traffic is starting to trickle in but we don't really expect much for the first 6 months.

Slow and steady suits us just fine and gives us a bit of time to try and get things right. If you have any suggestions or spot any bugs please do let us know.

Even better, if you have any friends who you think would like the website please do let them know :)

Cheers.

Well, it would be great if we could also upload sound recordings of bird song, to help with identification. (And your recommendations for equipment to record it with would be useful too!)
